Here We Go......Hold On.

I find myself at an interesting but somewhat brand new place. I went from class clown in high school to using drugs to God "ripping" me out of that to sitting in church desiring to be a pastor. I went from a Lutheran at 13 to a Charismatic/Pentecostal at 25 to now being drawn to contemplative Christianity (silence, solitude, meditation, etc.). I'm at a place where I feel like I'm "becoming" a Christian. Weird. Considering I've been walking with God for 10 years, really all my life but more on that later. As I've been doing things that are contrary to my normal personality like slowing down, doing less, loving the least of these, I feel like I'm finding my faith. I'm planning to go back and see all the ways God has been leading my whole life which will be difficult since I've forgotten quite a bit. A really great book that has helped me tremendously is Chasing Francis by Ian Morgan Cron. Cannot say enough good things about this book about a pastor who goes on a pilgrimage to "find" St. Francis of Assisi. Well....I'll talk to you soon.
